California Theme Park News for the week of August 17, 2012
-Knott’s Confirms that Perilous Plunge will close on September 3rd. Who knows whats coming to the Boardwalk are at Knott’s Berry Farm? There are rumors of an all new Coaster coming to Knott’s!
-Disneyland annual pass holders can register for “Glow with the show” “Fantasmic” on August 28th. Registration is now open for the one night only event on tuesday August 20th. For more details and registration be sure to visit the link below.
-It’s almost Halloween which means that it’s time to talk about Christmas! Disneyland has announced that the Candlelight processional an event that has been a Disney tradition since 1958 will be extended to 20 nights this year. The first two nights December 1 and 2 will be invitation only, but the remaining nights December 3-20 will be available for Annual Pass Holders and guests booking to be announced dining packages. HALLOWEEN HAUNT NEWS:
-Knott’s Scary Farm’s End Games contest that we spoke about on a past episode is now on! From now till August 24th you can send knott’s your best Apocalyptic warrior photo, in the words of Knotts “Gear up and send a picture of what you would look like if you were in The EndGames! We want to see your warrior face, your death scream, your battle ravaged face and your fierce determination!” There is no cash prize but the winner does get his or her photo as a poster inside of the maze End Games, the winner will also receive a copy of the poster. You can send those photos to Endgameswarrior@yahoo.com all photos must be submitted by august 24th 2012 at 11:59 pm to be eligible.
-Universal Studios Hollwood has announced two more mazes for this years Halloween Horror Nights. The first maze is called Universal Monster Remix. The description is Dubstep plus Monsters equals pulse punding horror. The Universal Monsters Remix maze will be located in the House of Horror’s building.
-Universal Studios Hollywood’s other maze coming to Halloween Horror Nights in 2012 will be “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Saw is the Law” maze. There has been a Texas Chainsaw Massacre maze before but it seems like this maze is based on the original films not the remakes. So if we count it up Universal Studios Hollywood’s Halloween Horror Nights so far has, Alice Cooper Goes to Hell in 3D, La Llorona, The Walking Dead, The Terror Tram; Invaded by the Walking Dead, Silent HIll, Universal Monster Remix, and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: the Saw is the Law.
